Quelque naufrageuse que soit leur perception commune du pr\u00e9sent et de l&rsquo;\u00e9treinte, les deux amants continuent \u00e0 s&rsquo;entraider, souhaitant la fin, mais ne l&rsquo;accomplissant pas, ne sachant comment agir pour l&rsquo;accomplir.<br \/>\nChaque jour, quand le soleil indique six heures \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon de six heures, ils r\u00e9p\u00e8tent un extrait ou une variante de leur op\u00e9ra balkhyr. Ce n&rsquo;est plus pour eux qu&rsquo;un rite de tendresse. Les chants qu&rsquo;ils entonnent ne ressemblent plus \u00e0 rien et ils sont superbes. Les animaux ne les regardent plus, ne les \u00e9coutent plus. L&rsquo;infinie qui\u00e9tude de la destruction entoure cela.<br \/>\nOn les voit parfois s&rsquo;interrompre au milieu de telle ou telle sc\u00e8ne. Ils s&rsquo;\u00e9lancent l&rsquo;un vers l&rsquo;autre, ils courent, ivres du bonheur d&rsquo;\u00eatre rest\u00e9s ensemble, d&rsquo;\u00eatre ensemble au-del\u00e0 de tout, malgr\u00e9 tout. Ils t\u00e2tonnent l&rsquo;un vers l&rsquo;autre et ils s&rsquo;accouplent. Il n&rsquo;y a plus de diff\u00e9rence entre eux et les b\u00eates. Leurs voix sont magnifiques et elles ne ressemblent plus \u00e0 rien.<br \/>\nLeurs voix sont extr\u00eamement belles.
